Make Your House Stand Out In The Crowd

Three Ways to Increase the Entertainment Space for Your Home

Home protection

Anyone who likes to entertain knows that doing it outside is one of the best ways to do it. Being outside means you and your guests will be able to enjoy the fresh air and not be cooped up and cramped inside a house. Furthermore, it’s a lot less of a problem for a guest to spill red wine on the lawn than for one to spill it on your carpeting. The problem is that many homes don’t already have an entertainment space outdoors. Here are three ideas for getting one.

1. A Gazebo
One of the most popular options for adding space to a home is to get a gazebo. Outdoor gazebos are smaller enclosures that have a roof and are sometimes encased in a screen. Either way, the roof creates a shaded and covered area for entertaining and dining. Gazebos can also vary in the number of sides that they have, but they are most often six or eight sided with a solid floor.

2. A Screened In Porch
Another common way that people increase the space that they can use to entertain in their homes is to add a screened in porch. This can be done to an existing patio or deck, or you can have cement poured for a slab and the porch built around that. Either way, this option also creates a covered space that is sheltered from the sun and the weather for entertaining in.

3. A Deck or Patio
If you don’t already have one, you might want to consider adding a simple deck or patio to your home. These generally aren’t covered, but are a good choice for people who have existing things in their yards like a pool or walkway. Wooden deck designs are really popular, since they can be built to the specifications you want to make the best fit for your property.
